Exhibition of interesting animals in Cologne
Visitors to Cologne Zoo can look for a change not only in living animals ... And all because last week there opened an exhibition of controversial artist Gunther von Hagens, devoted pet. The exhibition presents 20 works by masters of plasticization.
German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, who was nicknamed "Doctor Death ", became famous for creating sculptures of dead human bodies, using the plastination process invented by him.
The process of Plastination involves removing skin from the corpses, so that could be seen naked muscle tissue, nerves and internal organs, which are covered with synthetic materials that prevent the expansion of the tissue.
In this work Gunther von Hagens does not emit any odors and do not decompose, as all liquid and fat are removed.

The exhibition, which opened its doors on April 15, will be available to visitors until 30 September.
